Okolica

  • Otherwise, Zagora is a small and peaceful village with 7 houses and 25 inhabitants, better known for the battles of the First World War, where fierce battles took place for the occupation of the village, which at the time had 23 houses. Monuments, caves and trenches of the Italian or Austrian army remind us of this. The favorable location of the homestead provides you with various starting points for trips on foot, by bicycle, by car or by train. You can go to Sv. Goro, a famous pilgrimage center with a basilica and a museum dedicated to the First World War in the area. The Vodice monument and the Path of Peace, where you can see the interior of the caves, are also nearby.
